Don’t know how to do HW? There’s an app for it!
In China, students can download an app to “help” them with homework. Baidu, of on China’s largest tech company, has created an app called “homework helper” or 知道 (zhi dao -know) where users can take pictures or type their homework which will be answered by other users. Correct answers will be rewarded with in-app currency that can be used to buy items such as iPhone and what not.
This is borderline cheating and homework crowd sourcing and majority will say it’s cheating except for it’s users.

Got period? Can’t be a Menteri Besar (chief minister) says sexist lawyer
In Malaysia, where anything goes for in politics, a lawyer, Hafarizam Bin Harun, website made a statement about Wan Azizah about her ability to become Selangor state Chief Minister. Hafarizam said that because Wan Azizah has period, she might not be able to perform her duty effectively as the chief minister.
“This is because should a woman menteri besar suffer from ‘uzur sharie’ (period), there will be many obstacles for her to accompany the sultan at religious functions.
“Hence, the article under the Selangor constitution, for example, may not hinder a woman from becoming a menteri besar, but by convention, there could be problems because of the said circumstances,” Hafarizam said.
Oh sexist remarks. How easy it is to blame the period.

Amoeba eats eyeballs!
A 23 year old Taiwanese student, Lian Kao, has gone blind after her contact lens were infected with a parasitic Amoeba, Acanthamoeba, which ate her cornea after she wore the contact lens for 6 months straight. Why would anyone wear contact lens for 6 months straight???? Time to publish a book, “How to wear contacts for dummies”

The department of Justice, in a recent legal case, has demanded Microsoft hand over emails that are stored in Dublin, Ireland for investigation. This action, if legally approved, will have broad implications and add on to the widespread cyber reach of the American government on data and information beyond it’s jurisdiction.
“Overseas records must be disclosed domestically when a valid subpoena, order, or warrant compels their production. The disclosure of records under such circumstances has never been considered tantamount to a physical search under Fourth Amendment principles, and Microsoft is mistaken to argue that the SCA provides for an overseas search here. As there is no overseas search or seizure, Microsoft’s reliance on principles of extra-territoriality and comity falls wide of the mark.” – excerpt citing the Stored Communication Act”

A tire shop in Dataran Sunway, Malaysia has claimed a public parking spot as their own property in a Game Of Throne style conquest. When questioned about the action, the shop owner not only shouted profanity but also towed “unauthorised parked” cars away.

Got fake beef?
Chinese officials have confiscated 2,000 kg (4,400 lbs) worth of FAKE beef in northwest China’s Shaanxi province.
The fake beef was made from pork, which had been treated with chemicals such as paraffin wax and industrial salts to make it look like beef.
Imagine what these FAKE beef will do to your health if you consumed it?
